GTW 1957 Grand Trunk Western, Detroit Division, employee timetable



Here is a Grand Trunk Western employee timetable showing everything except the main line. 

As you already know, the GTW main line route runs from the St Clair Tunnel/Port Huron to Chicago. 

That route segment was part of the Grand Trunk Railway's 'bridge line' concept to link an Atlantic seaport with the American interior ... at least as far as I understand the logic of their eventual, original routing. Being a British enterprise, they naturally also connected many of the settlements within the 'Province of Canada'.

A subsequent post will provide the main line employee timetable for the same date. 

Below is a well-worn and scotchtaped postcard from circa 1910 which helps support my observation that every photo of the GTW ever taken was made at either the St Clair Tunnel or Durand.
