On the Grand Valley Railway Company, the description starts with this: "The Grand Valley was one of the most unsuccessful of the Ontario lines, its experience demonstrating clearly that, even in the days of relative prosperity for the interurbans, a line connecting relatively small cities some distance apart, with virtually no freight business could not succeed."
These lines are referred to as GR and GV in the description below.
